My Grocery Sign In The Kitchen

I've felt like this area over the windows needed something for a while now.  I kept eyeing some of the big signs at Hobby Lobby, but decided I would make something instead.

I was a bit undecided on what I wanted the sign to state.  I guess it's no surprise that I went with "Grocery" since Joanna Gaines had one on Fixer Upper, my favorite HGTV show. :)

I'm also craving my black/white/grey colors with Fall around the corner.  Yesterday I picked up another plastic pumpkin to paint and add to my grey grouping from last year, which you can find HERE  I may even paint a few extra to take to our sale next month, which at this point is going to be at the Nashville Flea Market.  Pam is on the hunt this weekend to check out some prospective booth spaces for us in a store.  If anyone has any advice or suggestions on this matter, we would love to hear from you.

I hope you have a fabulous weekend and week ahead! Thanks for stopping by!

Update On Pam's Dining Room

I wanted to share some pictures of the latest progress on Pam's dining room.  Her house was built around 1906 and she just moved in this summer.

The light fixture is the same one I have over my kitchen table, from Overstock.

Her table and chairs came from local antique stores.  She has a great fabric from Sirs Fabric that will cover the seats.

The china, and china cabinet also came from antique stores in or around Mt. Pleasant, TN.

Thanks for stopping by!  Best wishes for a wonderful week!

Sign Making And A Peek Into My Studio

I spent a good bit of time this weekend making signs to take to the Nashville Flea Market next month.  I love weekends when I get playtime in my new studio.

I tried some different methods, using Annie Sloan paint and wax, Amy Howard paint, regular paint, and ink transfers.  And if you couldn't tell, ahem, I broke in a new orbital sander :)  I plan to make quite a few more of these, and will try varying degrees of distressing.

I had planned a post on my new studio, but things got hectic in there before I could take pictures.  Up until a couple of months ago, this was my storage room/laundry room/raise baby chicks room, etc...  We pulled everything out, including the cabinets and light fixtures, for a complete makeover.

Some of my projects to take to the Nashville Flea Market next month :)

Thanks for stopping by :)
I hope everyone has a great week!
